2 Corinthians 12:1-10
My lesson today comes from the 12th Chapter of 2 Corinthians. The Apostle Paul was writing here a letter to the church at Rome. This Book of 2nd Corinthians also has a 13th Chapter in which he begins the 13th Chapter by saying “This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.” But from the 12th Chapter and verse 1 he said “It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. Read more »

2 Peter 1:4
Because of time today I’m only going to read one verse. These are the words of Simon Peter to those of like precious faith the righteous children of God. Simon Peter said, “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises; that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” The subject of my message is “The Exceeding Great and Precious Promises of God.” And Simon Peter said that whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises that were saved at that time and those that are saved during this time. These is not hardly a page in the bible that you can read that on some of these pages the exceeding great and precious promises of God are listed and we are included in those promises. I want to speak to you today particularly about the Israelites that God Almighty brought to fruition to them the exceeding great and precious promises that he brought to them. Today as I was studying this it occurred to me that the Israelites were in the wilderness 40 years and then it flashed in my mind that I have been in that wilderness over 50 years from the time the Lord saved me to the present time it has been over 50 years. Hebrews :13-20
I’ll begin our reading lesson from the Book of Hebrews starting with Chapter 6 and verse 13, Paul wrote these things; “ For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.” Read more »

Acts 22:17-20
I will begin my reading from the 22nd Chapter of the Book of Acts beginning with verse 17; “And it came to pass, that, when I was come again to Jerusalem, even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance.” These are the words of the Apostle Paul. “And saw him saying unto me, Make haste and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me. And I said, Lord, they know that I imprisoned and beat in every synagogue them that believed on thee: And when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that slew him.” That’s reading verses 17 through 20 for my reading lesson today. I’m going to speak to you on “The Witness of Martyr’s” meaning someone who is deceased. Read more »

The period of leadership of Joshua and Moses had ended with the Israelite people and the Lord would choose somebody to lead his people the Israelite people. We’ll begin reading from verse one; “And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord; and the Lord delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years. And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah and his wife was barren, and bare not. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bare a son. Read more »

Ephesians 3:14-21
Today for the devotional I’m going to read from the 3rd Chapter of Ephesians beginning with verse 14 Paul wrote; for this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by the Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.
